mynameistooshort Posted September 21, 2010 Share Posted September 21, 2010 Well i've been modding for 5 weeks and im finally getting somwhere but i dont know how to use official textures and how to change somthings texture and models......i made a model with blender,but i dont know how to put it in oblivion,oh and btw i dont know how to make textures either sorry to bother but i'd be very greatful if someone could tell me and im making this new race,got half way through it, but at the beggining valen dreth desnt talk to the plaer sooooo i need help with that too =/ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Topazanite Posted September 24, 2010 Share Posted September 24, 2010 The Construction Set wiki will answer your questions, but to get you started: --You need a BSA unpacker to access vanilla meshes and textures.--You need to install the .nif extensions into Blender, then use the export function to create a .nif file. This is the only type of 3d file Oblivion recognizes. --NifScope will allow you to apply textures to items. The Custom Sword tutorial on the CS wiki will teach you how to make the texture map in Blender.--The Unofficial Oblivion Patch will solve that problem with Valen Dreth for ALL custom races.
