MidbossVyers
I've noticed how the time that a summon stay is horribly short. For example, IIRC, a Dremora only stays for 20 seconds and spends the first 10 seconds getting his weapon ready, which only leaves 10 seconds for him to fight, which is useless. Does anyone know anything to make the time summons stay longer?
Ferryt
There are actually quite a few mods which address many perceived shortcomings in the Vanilla magic system, so you might want to just browse through those or maybe do a search for conjuring-specific mods. One which I have my eye on and will installing to give it a try when I start my next character is Conjuration Plus Plus (C++), which is a complete overhaul of the conjuration system. One of the changes it makes is that the length of a summons is dependent upon your skill in Conjuration.
schijnn
Supreme Magicka allows summoned creatures to stay out indefinitely (until they're killed, at least), or you could make custom spells with longer durations. (I'm actually not sure if the base game allows you to create custom summoned creature spells, so that may not be possible.)
MidbossVyers
Apparently, C++ needs a subscription to download, so is this one: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12752 any good?
Ferryt
C++ is hosted on FilePlanet. They have three subscription servers and three public servers. No subscription/login is necessary to use the public servers and I've never had to wait for a download. As for Better Conjuration, I think all it does is extend the conjuration time. If that's all you're looking for, then it may well be the mod want. I'm looking at C++ because it improves a lot of details about conjuration which have irked me since I started playing Oblivion. MidbossVyers
I installed C++ and a Dremora summon still lasts for 20 seconds (the standard time), and my conjuration skill is 67. Is that the correct summon duration?
Ferryt
Do you have OBSE (at least version 15, as I recall) and did you launch Oblivion with it running? If not then this mod will load but will not run. If you do then perhaps you have another mod which is conflicting with it, so try putting C++ lower in your load order. Since I have no idea specifically how this mod alters things (I generally just install mods like this -- I don't examine them under a microscope in the CS), I don't know if 20 seconds conjuration time at your skill level is consistent with its expected behavior or not, and I'm not in a situation where I can actually play the game right now and test it out. Megatarius
Supreme Magicka also allows the conjuring of more than one thing, but you have to be a journeyman.
MidbossVyers
Is it normal that sometimes creatures summoned through C++ attack you?
