BKann
Hi. I was wondering if anyone could help me with my problem. I've been playing through the game again for the second time, this time with mods installed. When I get to the part in Awakening where you get the armor of the Sentinel, the armor appears white. I'm not sure if one of the mods is the problem or not. I tried re-installing Awakening, but with no effect. If anybody knows how to fix this, or where I go in my PC files to try and edit the problem, that would be great. The only Mod I can think of that I havn't tried removing is the JBTextures VHigh_Armors file. Thanks.

DarkeWolf
the problem is that the Sentinel armor is a tints conflict. Something in another armor mod is getting mixed up with it.Back when I had awakening installed, mine looked like the armor from the Black Templar Armor mod  So yeah, basically go thru and deactivate any of your armor mods one at a time, and see if you can track down which one is causing the conflict. And... hopefully it's not one that you're really, really wanting to play in Awakening. If it is then I'm afraid you're left with the choice of do you want that armor, or the sentinel armor to look like that :( But, hope that you get it sorted out, and welcome to the nexus! :)
BKann
Thanks. That's what I was thinking, but I havn't had much time during the week. I'll have to try doing that this weekend. I'm thinking I have to completely uninstall the mods, and not just turn them off, correct?
DarkeWolf
Deactivating them should be the first thing to try. Uninstalling then reinstalling them would be more work, so take the shortest/easiest method first ;)Tho too, it just depends. If the conflicting file is named the same, then yeah.. uninstalling it is gonna have to be the action to take :( Edited September 25, 2010 by DarkeWolf
BKann
I found out what it was. There is a tint pack you can download for the Ultimate Dye Kit mod that alters some of the vanilla tints to make the mod work better on certain armors. Once I removed that, everything went back to normal.
DarkeWolf
Ahhh I see! Well, I'm glad to hear that it wasnt an actual armor that was causing it, since that would have meant that you'd be w/out a suit.Tho you might to go ahead an add a comment on the authors page for the mod, tho it looks as though somebody already has (wish I woulda read that BEFORE telling you to go hunting thru those different mods :( ) to reaffirm that there's an issue with it there. But glad that you got it sorted out! :)
