KayCee Posted August 2, 2006 Share Posted August 2, 2006 I accidently lost or sold the helmet given to me for the Reordan disguise quest. Since it was a "native Gah-Julan bonemeld helm," I replaced it with another just like it I bought later and I had it on when I got in the village via silt strider, but as soon as I got to the lady and said "Orphan of Arnesia," she said "Thank you, House Hlaalu! I'll be sure our codes get changed." I don't know if it was because I lost the original helmet or if I possibly had already talked to her as myself before I accepted the Hlaalu quest. Anyone seen this and know how I can still fulfill the quest? All of the vendors in Balmora, which is where I do most of my business, are suddenly wearing helmets I've sold them and won't sell them back to me. The easiest thing to do is to look up the ID in the construction set and then add it via the console. UESP and UHS websites have all the cheat codes. In this case you want 'player-> additem' IIRC. The ID is bonemold_gah-julan_hdda. So you open the console and type player-> AddItem "bonemold_gah-julan_hdda". I hope. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I didn't know about the unique ID, since the helmets were labeled the same, but I thought something like that was possibly going on. At this point, I would vastly prefer using cheats to not being able to finish the quest (or having to kill merchants), so I will give that a try. (You do also have to specify amount (1) in parentheses after the cheat code for it to work.) Anyway, for those honest folks who don't like cheats, I discovered (after I had already cheated) there are other items the vendors prefer to the Quest Items you may accidentally sell them. I like the Velothi (sp?) Helm, which gives healing at crucial times. I ended up with an extra one, which I sold to the pawnbroker in Balmora. Well, next time I got in there to barter, the Quest Helm I sold her accidentally was back in her inventory because she decided she really wanted to wear the Velothi Helm instead!
