Editing a CM Partner

I am using Rose as a partner. She looks beautiful.

Anyway, she's a conjurer and keeps summoning annoying creatures like the Flame Atronach.

Since i play a Thief/assassin character myself it's quite annoying sneaking up on enemies when she always breaks the element of surprise.

 

I have managed to edit some of her stats in the TES construction set. (She's found as an BretonCOPY000 female). So I changed her class to an assassin and removed the spells from her list of spells. They are totally deleted. I save and start up oblivion.

I see that her stats has changed to an assassin-type character just as I wanted but as soon as we get into a fight with some enemy she starts conjuring that annoying flame atronach again! I have tried to set her conjuring skills to zero but they always turns back to 15. I've changed her class behaviour to NoMagic but nothing helps. Nothing works from keeping her summoning.

 

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong here? I've spent three days of my spare time with this.

Sorry things are not working out. I am out of town but on my way home. My Sony Z11 with Windows 7 does not do the CM Partners in Construction set very well but I will try to guide you. In CS you should have checked Oblivion.esm and RoseCM but then set RoseCM as Active file and click OK. In your OBJECT WINDOW in NPC section look for BretonCOPY0000 and click on it. Double click on cmRose. In her window click on the Spell List tab and you should see she has about 11 spells. Delete the ones you do not need and click OK. Then SAVE. Your character should now hopefully work the way you want. I wonder if you tried to fix her by clicking on Character, then race, where you found BretonCOPY0000, but that is the wrong section to delete spells. But if you did it the way I described then remember you MUST save before exiting Construction set. Other than that, if she continues to create Flaming guys I don't know what to tell you. Get back to me with your results and we will go from there.

Ok I have done all of that. I deleted all 11 spells. There are none in the list now. And it has been saved.

I made another try with another one of your partners. AnnaBelle.

I deleted the Summon skeleton guardian spell in her spell list but to no help. She acts just like Rose.

I guess the skeleton guardian is the first minion you can summon with only 5 points in conjuring and it seems impossible to set it at zero points in the editor.
