Arx Fatalis MOD

Well...hello everybody...

I never made a MOD or stuff, but I think here there are some people that can manage to bring back to life an old and forgotten game such as Arx Fatalis.

This should be an interesting project that I would like to start, but before anything, I would like to know if there is anyone interested as well.

Users feedback is useful, but I'm looking more for people willing to help me.

Wouldn't it be wonderful to play this fantastic game under Oblivion engine?

The game is one of the best First person RPG ever... Its hard to miss it ... its somehow like morrowind, but a lot shorter and the only big difference being the spellcasting engine

i guess people aren't that interested :confused:

 

Most modders have work on their hands, and really want a good view on what they're saying yes to before they join a project. Somthing like writing down a main questline would really help a lot, believe me.

Storyline? ok then (here's a wikipedia link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arx_Fatalis )

 

Everything happens in the world of ARX, where on the time of King Poxelis the Sun ceased to exist, so humans and the rest of the races started moving underground, in some deserted dwarves mines, leaving aside their differences and conflicts. So basically we have about 7 underground levels most of them being associated with every race included in the game . (humans, goblins, trolls, snake womans, dwarves, rat man) In the same time we have a crypt with as many levels as the world.

THis is the basic info... the game starts with you in a goblin prison... in time you discover that you are not a normal human, but a Guardian of the Noden ( Noden being the realm of gods) and your mission was to stop the reincarnation of a god in this realm.

Lately you discover that the same god, Akba, that you must stop, was the one who destroyed the sun and was also the reason of other conflicts.

At the end you end up fighting this Akba in his incomplete form ...

 

I tried to keep it simpler... so you can see the big picture... the story has more details...being much more complex...

It isn't a game that hard and that long...about 3 days to end it on a second play ... the only problem being its puzzles ...

I mod a little, and I don't think I could have begun without an active community that's (mostly) willing to help and give feedback. Does this game have one? Also, did the producer provide a Construction Set?

in this game you don't have the liberty from the elder scrolls. You have 10 levels maximum, its more of a test game that ended up quite good, so they don't have a construction set.

Still, the game's graphic engine its lame and old. Now Betsheda became like brothers to Arkane Studios(creators of Arx Fatalis) and what i'm trying here won't be a problem to the law and stuff.
