What is the dragon age/mods/override folder for?

Question2

The Eclipse game engine uses very specifc search routine for files depending on their types. Just because you put a random mod into a folder and nothing happened doesn't mean that the folder itself wasn't checked.

(Plus, not sure exactly which folder you're talking about, since you didn't give the full path.)

The full path is Dragon Age/Mods/Override, AKA game folder/Mods/Override.

All mods i put in that folder do nothing, whereas they work just fine if i put it into the bioware override folder.

My game doesn't have that folder, at all. *double checks* Nope. *triple checks* Nope and nope. I do have a Dragon Age/packages/core/override folder under the game directory, but nothing called 'mods'.

What delivery method are you using (disc install, Origin DL, Steam...??????)

And the reason the mods work when you place them in the Docs/Bioware/Dragon Age/packages/core/override folder is simple. That's where the game expects them to be, and where they should be installed.

@tsm;

You're absolutely right, of course. I'm visiting family and don't have access to my gaming rig atm, so I couldn't check paths on my own install. My guess is the OP is actually talking about the "\single player" folder, which is why I asked for the complete path in question!

And I understand that people do get confused by the fact that there are two different "\override" folders in a standard install. :laugh:

Third time; what's the FULL path you're talking about?

And now that you mention it, I don't think DAM could create a folder on its own. But since I don't use it, I can't say what might happen if you pointed it to a non-existent folder.
