Tarski
I decided I've got nothing better to do this holiday than replay New Vegas ultra hardcore style loaded up with kick-ass mods. I'm new to modding the game, but I've been hunting for a few hours now, trying to create the perfect experience, and the two most promising prospects are NVEC and Project Nevada. From what I'm reading on the forums. there seems to be a conflict between the two, however. It seems NVEC contains jsawyer mod, and that conflicts with the PN re-balancing. The trouble is, I like features from both. jsawyer has bullets and stim packs with added weight as well as tweaks for a really good hardcore mode, but PN has increased level cap, perk update modification, gauges for item rarity and immersive hardcore mode. Any discernable way I can run both NVEC and PN at full? Also, I've been looking into the following mods, so any advice offered on compatibility with the above is appreciated: Character Overhaul Increased Spawn Wasteland Improved Companion Sandbox Essential Companions Electro-city Nevada Skies A world of Pain Mobile Home There are a few others, such as new Companions, New Areas and quests, new items, running the lucky 38 and bison steve hotel, but I think the above have the highest potential for conflicts. Also, should I use Boss? Thanks in advance!
DynasuarezWrecks
NVEC's installer includes a patch for Project Nevada. I'm not entirely sure, but I think for the most part the way it handles conflicts is it disables NVEC settings in favor of PN. All or most of it, like hardcore rates, can be adjusted freely with PN. Fallout Character Overhaul is going to conflict with the Character Expansions part of NVEC, but I am pretty sure there is a patch included with NVEC for that too. You could also just not use the Character Expansion at all. If not, I'm positive that NVEC has a patch for New Vegas Redesigned 2, which does pretty much the same thing. Personally, I don't like what FCO does to NPCs and prefer Redesigned over it. Otherwise, you should be all right. I suggest looking into JIP Companion Command and Control in lieu of the two companion mods you listed, and you might also consider looking into DFB - Random Encounters either to complement Increased Wasteland Spawns or to replace it. Tarski
Thanks for all the advice. It seems NVEC now contains DFB - Random Encounters. Any word on BOSS? I think Nevada recommends it. Edited December 30, 2014 by Tarski

Yeah, I installed this patch for NVEC and primary needs are still broken.
