I have been using some mods like more hair styles, new body mods and some console commands, well, the problem is when I use the console command "runscript appearance 67" or "runscript appearance 38" I can't see the hair of my character all I can see is through his/her head and is also missing his/her eyes!

Please help me they look so creepy like that, what I can do to fix this problem?

Heyas Azquirath-

Essentially the problem is with the models. The hairs are all race/gender specific. So if you are trying to use say... a female hair on male character, they dont show up. Or if you are trying to use a hair that was made for an elf, on a dwarf, they don't show up.

I would also assume that this is the problem that you are having with the eyes. You will also run into problems where if you are using say... a human head on an elven body, then the body will be the right size, but the head will not be. AND will "float" above the elven body, because that's where the model has been set to be placed at.

Those console commands dont factor a lot of things into account. The game engine is also not very advanced, and doesnt support a lot of features that some of the older more stable game engines do.

The only real solution for the problem that you're having, would be to create hair/eye/face/etc models for the race that you are changing the character to.

Sorry for the bad news on this one :(

Ahhh I see. I didnt know that those two numbers represented the kiddies. Thanks for the info RB

But yeah, same issue. The hair and eye models that is on your characters weren't designated for that particular body. :(

Well that explain a lot, so I would have to create new models and override the original ones, that's too much trouble for a morph option.

But also when I'm using a human female and I use the console command to have the shape of the original female in the game (15) is showing up with no hair.

so is like a WTF situation for me. :wallbash:

Try a quicksave and a quick-reload after you make the change as that will sometimes clear the problem (but not always.)

I'm not real keen on what it would take to alter hairs to be available for new bodies. I'm afraid that I've never researched it but yeah... most likely more trouble that it'd be worth just for a quick change back and forth.

I dunno if it will make a difference or not, but you might try the changeappearance -1 instead of the 35. Which will revert you back into the body that you had previously. The game can be very quirky when changing bodies/races/genders around.

I got it!

First I did a custom morph for my character:

Got in to the DAO Toolset and I went to file, new, morph.

I choosed the girl base model and added the hair, hair color, eyes color and morphed her face to one I liked.

When I was done with this step I saved the file with the name of the human girl model in the game file structure which is "kn_chd_grla_0" I saved in the override folder:

C:\Users\user name\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override

Next thing I did was right click on the edited face (in DAO toolset) and clicked on "POST TO LOCAL" This is a very important step don't forget it! (slapping my self)

Then I opened my save file in DAO toolset and edited the "SAVEGAME_APPEARANCE_MORPH_NAME" tab, I added "kn_chd_grla_0" and saved the file.

Then I closed the DAO toolset and launched DAO, loaded my game and there she was with the face I did for her and the hair color I wanted.

VERY IMPORTANT: side effect, when I'm in standard female form my character doesn't have head and her fingers and arms looks like something that came out from a nightmare!

I can switch between forms with the console command "runscript appearance 15 or 67" but this morph is to play as a girl I should say.

The only way to fix this is opening the save game with DAO toolset and remove the custom morph (kn_chd_grla_0)

thats really cool! right on, am glad that you managed to get that sorted out! Kudos for the initiative!

Now, however, one thing you're gonna have issues with, is your methodology. Once your savegame starts getting up around 1-ish megabyte in size, the toolcrap isn't gonna wanna open it.

It tends to crash to the "not enough memory" error when you try opening larger savegame files. :verymad:

so for your morph transitions, I'd probably recommend NewbyPower's face replacer as an alternative method. http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=428

LOL I gotta admit... this is kinda intriguing. I can totally imagine combining something like this, along with that monk style unarmed combat mod. The sight of a little boy or girl kicking the snot out of an Ogre would be priceless!
