What do i need to mod oblivion?

Hey everyone i am currently a modder for fallout 3 and today im going to start downloading oblivion but i was just wondering what do i need to download inorder to mod oblivion, i know for fallout it was things like archiveinvalidator invalidated, fallout mod manager and fallout script extender.

To create a mod for oblivion, you will need a program called "The Elder Scroll Construction Set" (TES CS for short) and it can be downloaded on elder's scrolls official website. For resources, you can download them at oblivion tessnexus section. Also, you can use google search engine to look for tutorials on creating mods.

 

Edit#1: Be sure to patch oblivion. The patch can be downloaded at the official site as well.

 

Edit#2: If you want to create custom items (armors, weapons etc.) You will need any graphic program (gimp or photoshop,) and other programs Blender, Nifscope

If all you want to do is use mods

OBSE - Oblivion Script Extender http://obse.silverlock.org/

As the fallout versions were based on these their use should be similar to what you are used to.
