LOL ^^D I'm just throwing my thoughts here if i were skilled enough to mod. I'd probably overhaul Skyrim and make Dragon Age Origins there. Anyways...I was wondering if you can make a mod to the Archer by making it like Skyrim where arrows are separate from the bow. You have to search for or recover arrows on the field or make it by finding resources like wood, iron, silverite, etc and feathers (hunt for a fowl or buy from a merchant) hehe If possible the Archer should run for cover, transfer to evade when an opponent is nearby, block or evade a melee or range attack, or run while attacking. (So should the Mage)When the archer run out of arrows, the archer automatically switches to a secondary skill set either Melee or possibly Magic (so that the magic attribute will play a role in offense aside from defense against magic attacks). Hoping to make the Player Class mixed like Rouge and Warriors can use magic and all classes can use all types of weapon including mage staff but may require a minimum attribute point to use them or incur damage. Say a Warrior can equip a mage staff but can use it as a melee weapon that can be used for offense or defense if the warrior or rougue has not learned any basic magic skill. and.. if possible, add a jump or climb feature. Anyways...In Melee mode, the Archer has the option to use:1) the bow & arrow or just the bow when there's no more arrow.It should start to switch in Melee mode when there's just 1 to 3 arrows left and the combat is a combination of a bow used as a blunt weapon and the arrow(s) for stabbing or fast point-blank short range attack (sort of like in the Arrow series)2) there should be an Unarmed Combat skill tree for Warrior and Archer which has branches to Unarmed Defense (parry using hands or leg then delivers a counter attack that knocks out the opponent or trips them to the ground) Unarmed Attack (hand strike, kicks, or a combination of both to the front or side depending on the enemy's location. Groin kick or Throat attack animation if possible for enemies without armor), Dislocate (a counter attack upgrade that dislocates the joints and incurs critical damage), Final Strike (which kills the opponent with a heavy blow to the back of the head or throat or breaking the neck), Evasion (which has a cool slow motion animation that triggers when an enemy delivers a critical strike or evading an arrow or magic projectile from a range attack ), and Survival (which is used when surrounded by 3 or more melee range attackers).The damage and combat animation depends on the attributes. If Strength is higher, the animation might be just a simple strike to the face, throat, or groin that knocks out or kills the opponent outright depending on the level of health. If Dexterity is higher, maybe a vital point attack animation would look cool. The other attributes gives bonuses to the damage, attack speed, defense rating, or crittical chance.(Mage... probably has a different unarmed skill set combined with close-range magic attacks with different deathblow animation) 3) use secondary weapons such as daggers (dual or single wield), limited quantity throwing knives (which can be recovered) or swords (single hand with shield or two-handed)The weapon damage is dependent on the Skill tree selected (could either be from the Dual Wield skill tree, Sword and Shield skill tree, or Two-Handed skill tree)4) different kinds of arrows: metal arrow tips (iron to silverite or the highest metal type that plays a role in armor penetration or critical damage depending on the armor rating of the opponent), elemental arrow tips (freezing, burning, poisoned, or debilitating), blessed arrows (for spirits or demons), exploding arrow tips. All arrows incur bleeding damage that increases with every arrow hit. 5) Automatic Arrow Selection ability.This ability is dependent on Cunning and Wisdom attributes. If you collected different kinds of arrows with low cunning or wisdom, your Archer will just use any type of arrow in an attack, but if the cunning or wisdom is high or within the proper range, the Archer will use the appropriate type to use against an opponent. Say a Freezing Arrow for a Rage Demon or Blessed Arrows for Spirit or Demons.An Archer may request a Mage or Chantry priest or priestess to bless the arrows so that it may incur spirit damage if no Blessed Arrows can be found. Only a Mage companion or NPC or a Chantry NPC can bless objects since it assumed to be within their capabilities.6) Enemies drop bows and arrows separately and quantity is limited. They also use secondary weapons if they run out of arrows with different fighting animation depending on the inherent skill set or abilities. The animations change depending on the game mode. Nightmare mode has to be the coolest animation for all classes.. but that's another mod entirely...Well, that's just my thought for this request.Hope it can be made with Origins first then adapted to DA2 or better yet, transfer Dragon Age Origins to Skyrim. LOL ^^D I know this is a challenge and may be virtually impossible to do but if someone can make this, it will surely make a mark of achievement in the RPG combat system.
