I was hoping for something like Oblivion, not this. Equiping weapons, picking stuff up, talking to people, and combat are just plain old retarded. What a waste of money

And AmazadhKristeopolous I'm glad that you enjoyed DA:O. I know that DA2 is going to be a massive change in direction but I hope you stay along for the ride. If you want info about DA2 there is a thread if you want information, and there are some info that the thread in BW forums doesn't have.

Don't give up! Actually i didn't eaven enjoy the game at first.. I thought it was too like... Complex, not very smooth combat etc, but after a while i realised it was my gameplay that wasn't that smooth :P so i assure you, most people like it more, more the more they play.. Atleast all i know who's playing it. Give it a chance, you will like it. as i said, i didn't like it and i'm doing my 6th playthrough now.

I was a NWN2 fan and this plays a lot like that so I probably was pre-disposed to like it. I also like the KOTOR series too which plays a lot like this. OB felt like a "first person shooter" RPG to me until I got used to it...fun though.

I have to admit, I didn't like it at first either, I was expecting something more like Oblivion and ended up with KoTOR (which I did love). Now I'm on my third play through and I'm still loving the game (if I could just find a good mod that changes the mage robes appearance).

 

Give it a chance, it is an amazing game. Or go for Fallout 3 if you really want that FPS style RPG.
