sqigg
I received FONV Ultimate for Xmas and have been playing since. I'm a fair ways in. All HAD been working fine with about 12 mods installed, which include some UI mods, NVSE and a body mod. I also have NVedit installed for checking the mods and making little edits, ArchiveInvalidate, and CASM. When I installed the game from Steam, I had Steam install it on a different hard drive; E:\Bethsoft\Steamapps\ ......... > EVERYTHING worked fine. I played last night, saved, quit and wanted to check something with NVedit, I received an error message that NVedit couldn't find the .ini file. I confirmed that the .ini file is there. I opened NMM back up and when I tried to start the game using the NVSE launch tab, I received the error Steam Error: App Load Error 5: 0000065434 . I quit, went to Steam, and used the "verify cache files" option and it did it's thing. I went back to NMM and this time it did launch the game. When I tried to use NVedit, I received the same error as before, and i also noticed that Steam(?) had changed the .ini files. Those, I had previously manually edited PROPERLY based on the instructions provided with a few of the mods; DarnUI, BoG, etc.. . NVedit still won't work now either way. What can I do to get everything to work properly again ?
RoyBatterian
Edit doesn't like it much if you change the default install location. Verifying cache will reset all ini's to stock. A work around is to install into the default location, then move the files to your other drive by hand and make a symlink junction to the directory from the original directory.
