faffman
What I came up with yesterday is, imagine if you have more than 100% resistance to one of the elements above. More than 100 is usually obsolete, right? Well, what if you made it attractive to have more than 100% resistance through absorption? So if you have say 110% frost resistance (imagine a Nord vampire with an additional enchantment), when struck by a frost spell, you actually recover 10% of what it would have done in damage at 0% resistance, both in health and stamina. With fire, you can still catch fire, but rather than fire spells do more damage in that condition, you recover the proper amount of health instead. With shock, you recover the proper amount of health, and of course half the amount in magicka.Though you'd probably hax with potions to achieve this, with a 110% magic resistance, you'd recover 10% of the non-resisted damage from any spell or dragon breath. Poisons are absorbed depending on what type of poison, though some are just plain resisted, like Paralysis poison. So yeah, not only would you no longer take damage, it would actually heal you. This would open a few more role-playing options, or enhance builds like pyro-, cryo- or electromancers. How doable would it be in the first place?
