The Mod That Never Was

Hi everyone,

Today id like to talk about a mod I started, but never had the oppurtunity to finish due to the fact I was process of joining up for the armed services. And maybe at the end you could talk about a mod you'd of like to have seen created that never was.


The mod was to be called "A Tale of Two Silos". It was a quest mod that told the story of two missile silos. Both that before the great war were both targeted to wipe each other out if necessary. However, due to unforseen events on that ill fated day both had failed to launch, leaving the silos (and their occupants) in relatively good working order. The occupants had been made ghouls from radiation gathered while scavanging for food, and components (in an effort to fix their doomsday devices), and many had perished over the years. A few however survived. Driven only by the will to destroy one another, and carry out their final mission.


The player would have the option to choose sides and eventually choose the fate of either side. Included in the mod would be the ability to travel to the people's republic of china via airplane to a chinese base facility, working nuclear ICBM's, and a plethora of lore friendly items and weapons. The American Silo was to be located at a totally rebuilt fort Constantine. The mod would require New Vegas Lonesome Road as well.


I had completed several models, and the American Silo before I was sent off, pictures listed below.

Hey Chad,

 

that is some really good stuff you put up there, if i have anything to criticize it's the story. It is a bit to complicated to realize it, even though it seems to be very interesting and well written i quite like it. Maybe a bit of a smaller approach would do the trick. First do Fort Constantine, and don't make it to Clean let it be grity and dirty it is after all an post-war world.

So finnish the Fort, hell make a quest with the Outcasts or the Brotherhood or the Enclave or heck all of them. Let the it be recaptured for (enter faction here) and then be rebuild and restored step by step. And don't forget to let it all happend after the quest Shot em in the head. Add a litte playerhome etc. and after that you may considering working on an Chinese extension of the Mod.

 

Those were just my thoughts on the matter and all meant as Konstruktive Critisicm.
