Shivering Isles crashing, animation fixer not working

I noticed the other day that when I was playing the Shivering Isles expansion, it seemed that whenever I tried to enter Sheogorath's palace grounds, the game would instantly crash. I've managed to avoid it up until now, by just teleporting to a quest marker inside the castle when I needed to, but I have reached the part where the Order obelisk appears in the palace grounds. Naturally, I can't just go out and do it, because the game crashes. I learned that this kind of crashing was associated with the so-called "Abomb bug," and to fix it I needed to download an animation fixer. I did that, I followed all the instructions, loaded up the new save created by the animation fixer, and still the game crashes. What other options do I have left?
