Righteous Strike

I will say that while it adds a really nice effect to the "Tevinter Staff" and is really annoying in cutscenes (just like every other FX added to weaps) it seems to do absolutely nothing to damage. I have assigned it an On Hit Power value (tried up to 100) and it still does nothing other than please me while running and annoy me in dialogue.

Anyone have any luck using this or am I just urinating into the wind?

well rust, i can confirm it's certainly intended apply On-Hit (as if you didnt know that heh), and certainly isnt "extra/leftover" content as it might feel like, i know i thought it was some left over crap that was never used at first

but it has full values/properties in the itmprps GDA/source

my first guess - same as templar talent or whatever, drains additional mana/stamina, or possibly mana-only

im sure you came to this conclusion as well

i do however have a very brute/simple but effective way of testing it, and would do so if i werent so busy,

download THIS

once installed, go ahead and assign the combat specialization (in skills tab with herbalism etc) to a quick-slot for repeated/quick access

it will show you current stats of the targeted npc, friend or foe

so find yourself a mage or mana based npc right?

wait, first...

Export TWO versions of the weapon you're using

one WITH righteous strike, the other WITHOUT

THEN,

make note of stats before striking the NPC

attack once WITH enchanted/righteous strike

note mana levels

reload scenario or whatever again

attack once WITHOUT enchanted/righteous strike

note mana levels

this will undoubtedly confirm if righteous strike does what the passive ability grants as a talent, fairly certain it does

i know this kinda stuff is boring buddy although its actually what i love doing in general - but am super duper ultra busy and cant take the time to do this for you (as well as my own curiosity now)

i'm no darkewolf.. im more like barkewolf ;]

results would be appreciated if you decide to take one for the team

I'll give it a shot and let you know. Now I'm wondering how I missed that mod (considering all the time I have spent looking through the files.)

Edit: It may be a while before I get to a critter I can't kill with one shot (it's just a bit overpowered :whistling: )
