Black Armor??

Hey all.. i recently got a computer that can handle Oblivion... on max too, so i've been playing it on PC (vs my 360) and have been downloading a number of mods

 

well, randomly, while i was playing, one of the mods seemed to have changed the color of fur, leather and steel armor to a black color... it's not that bad looking, but it's not for me and sort of kills things. Does anyone know what mod would have caused this? i'm going to list all the ones in my data files, and maybe someone can point it out?

P.S. I saved all the .zips and .rars of the mods, none of their readmes state that it changes the color of the armors previously mentioned

Hmmm im not sure what could of caused this. You could turn off all mods and see if the problem persists. If it does, I belive you have overithen a texture file or something but even then it should do that. Try switching off all of the armor mods one by one. Make sure that you didnt downloaded mods that overithe other armors textures. ex: changes green glass to blue glass, etc.

that's what i'm doing right now

 

when i download a mod, i don't overwrite stuff unless it's stuff from another mod or a readme.. just minor crap

 

i've turned off all the armor stuff so far, and no luck

 

yeah i just uhh turned off ALL the mods, and still no luck... the hell is going on? haha

 

i guess i should just re-install? or should i just get the original textures off the disc?

If its so much of a pain for you lol. Re-instal should fix the problem. You should go check in your data folder, textures, armor, steel/leather/fur. If those files exist, then a mod altered them. If not, then I dont know :huh:. You should ask an expert moder, although in my oppinion back those files up, delete them, and see if the problem persists.
