Trypal7 Posted September 29, 2010 Share Posted September 29, 2010 I am trying it out and it looks fantastic, I love the faces and textures it provides. 1Problem......The mod is either overwriting or highjacking my custom mesh and texture that I have already in use with my female character. When stripping to underwear, she becomes the vanilla adult female with vanilla underwear/texture. I then RE- copy/pasted my custom texture and mesh back over in (mesh)"chfemaleupperbody" _male/(texture) "femaleupperbody" childfemale folders...and well,. Shojo race must be directing itself to the BSA archives to use the adult files. because even after extracting ALL for both Texture and Mesh then drag the BSA archives out to desktop to force game to use the extracted files , that way I can replace all female mesh and texture with the same set so there would be no more BS from happening....well, that just causes the game to crash to desktop. Whats the deal with that? I spent a long time making my own mesh and texture for my girl, if there is no way to correct this then I will have to throw away Shojo Race. Anyone? shaeblis Posted September 30, 2010 Share Posted September 30, 2010 I use Shojo and I love it as well. I use FOMM to add it to the game and then I activate my custom skin. satanslilhelper Posted September 30, 2010 Share Posted September 30, 2010 I don't use it myself, but I just had a quick stoll through it in the GECK, and yeah, it does use the default adult body mesh/texture. In order for it to use your own, you will have to create a plugin to override this, by re-pointing the race at the files you wish it to use. Example;1. You have placed the mesh chfemaleupperbody.nif in the folder you want e.g. Data/Meshes/characters/myrace2. You have placed the texture femaleupperbody.dds (and it's _n.dds part, assuming it has one) in the folder you want e.g. Data/Textures/characters/myrace3. Open GECK, load Shojo.esm in Data.4. Go to Character, select Race5. Select Shojo, go to Body Data tab6. Change the files specified in Upper Body Texture and Upper Body Model (the two boxes at the top of the Body Data tab) to the ones you want.7. Hit OK to close the Race window.8. I checked it off in the Nexus Mod Manager but my shojos still use the default texture and not the one I specified. When I load the esp I made it looks like the changes kept. What is the deal here?
