scrivener07
In some cases Ive been able to fix problems like that by loading an earlier save.
bben46
Here is a troubleshooting trick to get you back to the original (vanilla) game with no mods. It can easily be reversed if you follow the directions and move rather than delete files. Bben's Oblivion Revert to Vanilla gamehttp://www.tesnexus.com/articles/article.php?id=340 Reinstalling the game does NOT completely remove the mods - anything left in the data folder can cause a problem. This removes everything from the data folder, then shows you how to put the vanilla files back without a full reinstall. After your game works again, install the mods one at a time and test. Also remember to install OBSE and OBMM again as they will be removed by this - However the latest patch will not have to be reinstalled. It also does not affect your saved games or the Oblivion.ini. If it still won't start: Here is a link to my complete uninstall/reinstall procedure located in the articles section of the Nexus. It has been successful when nothing else worked.http://www.tesnexus.com/articles/article.php?id=240 It allows you to preserve any saves and mods, or remove them completely - your choice.
