Faction Mod

The story begins when you are contacted by a member of the guild, which starts a whole new questline for you to unravel. It will be something of a mix between the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood. I need help with the names for the guild. When I get a good name down, I can name quests and give details. Sorry for the little info lol.

How about "Easy Riders"? Or "The Dirty Dozen"? Or, maybe, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Goblins from Oblivion"?

Seriously, LordFrostcraig, I guess what I'm trying to say is that your idea, based upon the paltry information you've given us, sounds just a tad "half-baked". :) Heck, I'd work with you on this mod (at least as an idea person) if I knew more about what you had in mind, because I'm totally (well, almost totally) dis-enchanted with the Vanilla guild quest lines. The basic premise of each of them is fundamentally flawed (the idea of a rank rookie zooming through the ranks in a month or so and gaining control of a guild is apallingly, ludicrous). Many of the quests are contrived, rushed, buggy, overly-linear, and tremendously unsatisfying. I had the same thoughts abut the main quest, by the way. To me the most interesting quests are all the side quests.

I fully support the concept of a new guild, as long as the mod doesn't make the same mistakes Bethesda made in aiming them (in fact, the entire game) toward "power gamers". My character can be the best that he can be without becoming the headman witch doctor in every organization he joins. I'd like to see the ability to make ethical and moral choices. I figured out all my own that we're being misled during the Dark Brotherhood quest line, but the game gives no option to warn anyone in authority about the treachery, even though you have access, at any time, to the Cheydinhal Speaker! I can't even zip over to Fort Farragut and warn Lucien of the danger. Why does the Countess of Anvil recognize me as the Gray Fox even when I'm not wearing the cowl (that is counter to the very purpose of the cowl)? Any good modder can avoid issues like this and make a much "tighter" guild than any of the ones which the Bethesda team created.

Anyway, "mix between the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood" really doesn't give us enough information to give you a name for your guild. Be a little more specific about what you intend and I can probably come up with several names. I'm usually pretty good at that.
