howelljw1
Can someone please help me! I followed the S.T.E.P skyrim revisited legendary edition guide and installed all mods on there in the specific order and with all special instructions. when I played I noticed that my swords were sheathed on my hip but the animations were unsheathing from my back. I wanted the sheaths on my back and thats what the guide said I would get. I have tried disabling the dsr, immersive animations and xp32 sm then putting them in a different order and re enabling them, no joy. tried uninstalling rhem and reinstalling them in a different order, no joy. I have diabled all mods except the main mods :- vanilla optimised, dawnguard dlc, dawnguard optimised, heartfires, hearthfires optimised, dragomborn, dragonborn optimised, hr textures1 dlc, optimised hr textures 1, hr textures2 dlc, optimised hr textures2, hr textures3 dlc, optimised hr textures 3, cleaned vanilla ems's, skse. Also the unofficial dlc for skyrim, dawnguard, hearthfires, dragonborn, hr textures. Then the prerequisits for the dsr, immersive animations, xp32 sm:- realistic ragdoll, fnis and sky ui, racemenu. I then reinstalled the rds, immersive animations and xp32 sm, No joy. each time I did the re installs i used fnis skeleton patch, run boss, run wry bash and updated my bash patch and updated redux patch. It took me 2 days to fully install everything following the guide and I've spent the best part of a day trying to sort this sheathing problem out by watching you tube videos reading blogs and looking in forums, but no one seems to of had this problem. So I've finally given up and asking for help. Sorry for the long post but i wanted to get as much info in here as possible so there isn't too much back and forth posting. you realise this when you have spent a whole day sifting through forums. thanks in advance! all help will be appreciatedps have no idea how to post my load order on here without writing them in myself. there are well over 2 hundred
thirteenisnotunlucky
I had a similar problem. Solved it by using nifskope to have a look at the bones in the skeleton. Try downloading nifskope (its free) and opening up your skeleton_male or female or beast nif file (depending on your character) from Data>meshes>actors>character>character assets or character assets female. (I play a female so my file is found in character assests female. Once the file is open you'll see some stick man skeleton thingy with like dots and lines. Find the bones (those ball thingies) on the hip that says weaponsword and weaponswordleft. Next find the bones on the back that might possibly be positions for sheaths on back. (They should exist if you have all the right skeletons installed) Those bones on the back might probably be named as weaponsword0 and weaponswordleft0. Now all you need to do is to change the names of the bones on the back to weaponsword and weaponswordleft and the names of the bones on the hip to weaponsword0 and weaponswordleft0. Basically swap the names. After doing this save and launch your game and see if it works. If there are no bones on the back that are named weaponsword0 or weaponswordleft0 you might not have the right skeletons installed. You can try downloading realistic weapon positions or you could try adding in those bones yourself. Then repeat all the process on top over again. I'm no modder, but if I'm guessing this correctly, the positions of your swords appear at the bones of weaponsword and weaponswordleft. So basically you can get the sheaths to appear anywhere you like depending on how you named your bones. Here's a video that might help you with using nifskope: (Might need subtitles) Hope this helped.
