brokenergy
In accordance to va, devs tend to uses va's that they know already and sometimes asked them to do several roles as there are lots of characters and there is only enough money for the actors they hire. For example, Brian Bloom is voicing Varric for DA2 but he was other dwarves in DA as well, like Leske. But I thought that the va for Jowan did a wonderful job... at annoying me.
RustyBlade
Couldn't they have at least tried to change their accent? That rarely yields a good result, a prime example being Kim Cattrall in The Ghost Writer (2010); her accent is pretty pathetic (and her butt is getting a bit large as well.) AHHH, bad mental image, ahhhh. But good point. Hey, I had to see that thing  (good movie though) But I thought that the va for Jowan did a wonderful job... at annoying me. His name is Desmond Askew (I really loathe Jowan - still don't know how he could be my friend) and Mr. Bloom did a fine job of... making me despise(?) in the new version of the A-Team. VGfallout
yeah i hear ya... well, here's the way i see it recycling is perfectly fine, so long as it's done tastefully but most importantly properly. the 'first run through' its a lot harder to detect this in dragon age. for example, i think i only recall noticing that duncan's voice was also the gauntlet keeper, and maybe some of the children voices. this is because the game is already doing such a great job and sucking you into the environment, your awareness of the game's general audio isnt that familiar as a 3rd, 4th, or 300th play through, here's a corny example since we all adore jowan's voice, lets pretend we just got to lothering's chantry. we hear jowan chanting the chant of pipe, which unless we started out as a mage, probably wouldnt realize the same voice does jowan later in the game, possibly not even match it up even if we did do the mage origin. or "please dont hurt ruck, ruck is sorry". that guy did a handful of dwarven voices i didnt pick up on until way later. what i mean is, the recycling was done fairly well to where the game still allows the majority of its population to feel unique or whatever. but uh, thats Certainly not the case with bigbertha's oblivion or fallout. you can literally "catch it" within 20 minutes or so. think of the shrapnel/flak guy or whatever, brotherhood of steel padawan trainer, and who knows what else. you know, that guy with a radio commercial movie preview voice, or baurus, etc. silver's voice, raiders, etc. there's about 10 voices rationed off between hundreds/thousands of npcs, and the only difference is the variety in "pitch". it quickly becomes one of the major "buzz kills" that makes the world feel really plain/artificial or "plastic" know what i mean? i dunno thats just always affected me with their titles, especially when you're expecting it ;[

wardenalpha
Hi everyone, I'm also new to this game, just about a two weeks. I'm also an RPG fan. I find the game very good. In fact this is one of the best RPG I have played. I like the plot, the conversations, the drama, etc.. and of course the actions too. I am very entertained when all of the sudden Leliana sang at camp. I like the old mage Wynne in her advises. and many more.. Thanks to BIOWARE. Now I'm about to enter Awakenings and some other DLC's... I hope they're good too.. Cause some time, or even often times, expansions and add-ins ruin the main game's flavor..
brokenergy
Hello wardenalpha and welcome to the Nexus. I advise you not to get the Darkspawn Chronicles and the FeastDay Gift pack as they are useless DLCs which add nothing to the story. The rest are good DLCs and I hope you enjoy Awakening. My thanks brokenergy. But I already have both... I dont know if I have them all. A friend of mine introduce me the game and gave me around 8 DVD's. But thanks to the advice since I haven't installed them all just yet. I have just installed Awakenings, and is playing it right now. And my friend inform me not to install all at once. That I have to finished awakening first before i install the other DLC's. I will bear in mind your advice.. May I know why? Since my friend also agree with your advice. Thandal
No need to "wait to install" the various DLCs. My totally unofficial timeline is posted elsewhere on these forums, but in approximate order of the internal events they go: LS (Events occured before the main story) DA:O(Events of the next three DLC can occur in any order within the period of the main story, including post-epilogue, if you care to do it that way!) TSP WK RtO DA:AGoAWH Note: Neither the "FeastDay" crap, nor "The DLC Which Must Not Be Named" appear in that list. The former because it adds nothing to the story or real game play. It is simply an amusing way to implement significant Companion Approval Rating changes, (which is already possible with the built-in "addapproval" console command) and the latter because it "breaks" the main story in many, many irreparable ways. The only way to play it is with a total lack of "original" story immersion or (emotional) attachment.
bgsmith
I think it is a well done game and I have problems with some mods but over all this has been a fun game. Power to the players and the Modders.BG
Bryanstorm
I'm currently playing Dragon Age: Origins on 360 at the moment. I got it on release date originally but never got around to finishing it. I think i'm pretty close to beating it i'm at the part of the final battle. Overall I think it is a pretty good game. I'm hoping to get it on PC soon so I can enjoy some of the mods here but not sure if my PC can handle it. Looking forward to getting the expansion as well.
