fettpett82
@Chubanina; I wasn't trying to dismiss the frustration some players feel, or imply that I wasn't in favour of more slots on the quickbar myself. I was responding to those who seem to think this was a bug, an oversight, or a game-killer. a) Clearly, it's intentional (and is also not a "console port" result.) :cool:b) It's not nearly as bad as some try to make it. Just have to play the game "as intended". :laugh:it's not a game-killer, but after having now reached lvl 21 on my rogue and there really is no more passive skills that i want/need, i find it infuriating that i cannot have one more ability on my quickbar. it takes a lot of fun out of the leveling because i now cannot spec my character as i had wished.been looking all over for a mod or maybe some autohotkeyscript, but nothing. would really love it if someone found a solution. doesn't even have to be visible in the UI, just the possibility of a few extra hotkeys for abilities that are used less, and that you don't really have to track cooldown on, like focus-abilities (have the focus bar for that), but yes, life goes on i suppose :pinch:edit: yeah scratch the focus-abilities statement, the focus-bar actually disappears if you have no focus-abilities on the quickbar. Alte77
If I may add my spin on why 8 skill slots only: consoles. Controllers have limited amount of buttons and the devs were forced to accomodate to only 8. This nonsense about forcing you to pick 8 skills 'becuz strategee' sounds like disingenuous cover up. They just couldn't be bothered to modify the game for optimal PC play. DA:I is a classic example of UI consolitis. Bad consolitis. This said, yes, please, I need more than 8 skill slots. Having to constantly switch skills is my definition of pain in the nether. DA:I has enough time-wasters as it is.

Craytose
Let's get back to the task at hand. Arguing errr....I'm sorry "discussing" why the game was made as such is useless, how is it going on figuring out a way to actually make it so we can use more than 8 skills? Like is there any progress? A whisper in the bushes about someone working on it...maybe?

The only hope I have is that modding tools will be available soon.
Alte77
I think Bioware is coming out with a Black Emporium for DA:I? If that's true, here's to hoping modding tools are soon to follow. This game could be so much better with the proper mods, but the devs need to give us the tools first.
hypnoboggled
I would also like more skill slots (whether its intended by the Devs or not :P ). DA: Origins' extendible skill bar was much better. You could use all the skills you worked for. Also you could lock the skill bar. Any one else find that while clicking skills they accidentally move them? Now that has to be an oversight, unless I have missed a very basic function in the options somewhere (quite possible :P ). tkovbasa
a) Clearly, it's intentional (and is also not a "console port" result.) b) It's not nearly as bad as some try to make it. Just have to play the game "as intended". continue this logic and you'll get to «just give devs your money and shut up, because it is «as intended». It was enough skills but they delete ability to switch weapon. Now players have no freedom to use all skills they have. Just great. And worst that it is indeed intentional. Even mmorpg have wider skill bars.

Hoslord
Please someone make this i really miss having the DAO PC UI where you could just drag the hotbar to the right to reveal more slots and place potions or more spells.
