I previously announced that Spiney, kriscrash, Ionis, and I have joined forces to bring you a high-quality mod that expands the number of Amber and Madness weapons available to the player. A lot of time has been spent ensuring that this mod integrates well with vanilla SI, in terms of looks and in terms of weapons statistics/values.

 

Vanilla Shivering Isles:

--Offers only 4 styles of Amber weapon, and 4 styles of Madness weapon

--64 distinct weapons available

 

This mod:

--Offers all of the basic styles of weapon in Amber or Madness: Claymore, Longsword, Shortsword, Dagger, Warhammer, Battle Axe, Mace, War Axe, Bow

--Offers a "Durable" version of every Amber or Madness weapon

--Fixes hundreds of mistakes in weapon stats/characteristics made by Bethesda - quite a few of which even the Unofficial Patch doesn't fix

--608 distinct weapons available (nearly a 10x increase!)

Short answer is, I didn't think the title of the former thread did a very good job of indicating the purpose of the mod, and I didn't want to ask the moderators to change it.

Any suggestions for this mod while it's still under development? If all goes well we'll be ready for a release within 2 weeks.

DanielJackson - Are you a StarGate fan? Just curious. Anyway, we thought of Battle Staves too but they won't be in the first release--we're still having trouble finishing up 1 or 2 regular weapons. :)

The team and I are nearly ready to release this mod. As such we are offering a CLOSED beta. ("Closed" as in we'll only give the link to those who request it. We want to keep the number of testers small right now.)

 

Is anyone interested in beta testing this mod?

What stat fixes did you do? What's wrong with the Vanilla SI weapons?

 

(Please be spoiler free. I only just got to Sheogorath for the first time. I haven't even seen the "happy" side of the isles yet.)
