00bruin11
Greetings:I downloaded a mod that allows you to bypass the Fade and go directly to the rescue of your companions, then to the battle with the sloth demon. You get all the xp, and bonus points. The problem is Orzammar is a pain. Too much back and forth, criss crossing and too many damn caves. I dread Orzammar and always run it last. Who has the ability to figure this out? Suggesting as much as requesting. Check out the poll. Thanks,Bruin
RustyBlade
I used to hate it, now I usually go there first. It takes me a couple of hours to do Behlen's dirty work and then on to the deep roads which I can usually pull off in about four hours. Once you know where everything is and where you have to go it is simply a matter of going in and slaughtering everything in your path. If it really bothers you that much just open the console and type runscript zz_orz_debug and cheat your way through (you side with Carradin.) 00bruin11
Have not used the debug cheats at all. I know Orzammar very well and hate it. I'll try the debug cheat and figure it out as I go. Thanks for the suggestion.
danscott84
Orzammar is actually my favorite place to go of the main quests. I use the skip the fade because it's too annoying for me. Redcliffe is too one dimensional, and the Brecilian Forest is just as bad as Orzammar with going back and forth. Orzammar also has some good music for the background, and at least I get to actually fight darkspawn instead of hoards of undead.
XTR3M368
ROFL! I thought I was the only one that hated Orzammar! I wold LOVE a "skip Orzammar" mod. I used to do it last all the time too....it really doesn't matter where I do it in my order, I still hate it. Dwarves have never been my favorite....probably amplified by my extreme distaste for the Ogharan character. I detest him so much, I don't even care if I spelled his name right lol. I was horrified to see he was brought into Awakenings as well. I don't mind the elven forest back and forth at all for some reason. Maybe because I like the elves. Redcliffe is too one dimensionalReally? IMO, Redcliffe has one of the biggest choice driven outcomes in the game. Ultimate good side = Hero, Ultimate bad side = basically the whole place dead. I understand about it being one dimensional as far as the missions and submissions though....but you can still kick everyone's door down and lie your tushy off or go light side honorable. I just didn't see that about Redcliffe....each of us gets different things out of the game though....to each his/her own.
chibievil
Spoiler ahead well for me orzammar i like collecting the legion of dead armor,Bracellion forest - Love collecting the Armor from tombs (forgot name of it)mage tower - i hate it till the point when u meet your characters, and love fighting the different forms of the final boss in faderedcliffe its quite short as i dont mind iturn - pretty easy love fighting the drakes and high dragon. then the last bits are really easy andfast, and by then i ahve the strongest armor lots of cash (if u do the side quests from the boards and the people with ! on their heads I also play on ps3 so i dont have pleasure of using the debug thingy, i do have on pc but ps3 is more fun
danscott84
I say Redcliffe is too one dimensional by just what you said, good or bad, there really is no gray area. No shades of good things with bad outcomes or bad things happening with good intentions. It's just you save the village, or not. very simple and basic. IMO boring. I do it because I must, and like chibievil said it's short. And like you said, to each their own opinion.
RustyBlade
It's just you save the village, or not. Turn it into a race. My best time Battle of 1st Redcliffe - 11 minutes... beat that
Sarethus
I must be weird because I actually like the Fade mission (Can get it done very quickly) and the Redcliffe mission. I like the fact that the Redcliffe mission is not a moral conudrum, sometimes the choice is clear cut. Save the village or Don't save the village. Granted I would be annoyed if every mission was like that. That being said count me as another who would like skipping the Deep Roads. I don't mind the actual Orzammar part but the Deep Roads, I hate.

My best time Battle of 1st Redcliffe - 11 minutes... beat that  That means I have to actually do it? After I tell Ser Perth that I am ready, I walk outside for a smoke or two, then come back in and the first part at the hill is done and the guy from the actual village is looking at me like he's in a hurry or something.
