Creating a small PerMa patch..

Hi!

I've been using Perkus Maximus for a playthrough to test it out and just to have some fun with it, and I'm adoring it. I've noticed one intentional change, though, that I'm not happy with, and that is one of the Alchemy perk changes. Perkus Maximus moves the ability to lean ingredient effects to the first set of perks, Alchemist Rank 1 and 2, unlocking the second and third ingredient effect, respectively. However, it leaves it up to the player to expiriment to find the final ingredient effect. I can understand the reasoning for this, as it continues to encourage expirimentation at later levels, but I would much rather add the ability back.

So, my goal was to make a small patch that re-adds that perk effect to the third rank of Alchemist, since this sequentially makes sense. I examined the vanilla perk that provided these effects and saw that the effect was a Perk Entry, Rank 1, Priority 0. It had the Entry Point bubble selected and was set to 'Modify Initial Ingredient Effects Learned'. The function was set to 'Value', and then the value was set to '4'. Easy enough. I opened Perkus Maximus with the Creation Kit, went to the final Alchemist perk rank (I made sure to edit the PerMa Alchemist perk and not the vanilla one), and added this new perk entry exactly as I had seen it before. I saved my change as a new .ESP file, put that plugin at the bottom of my load order for now to test if it worked, and it.. doesn't.

I tested this by removing the perk (I already had it) in the console, then using a perk point to get it back just to make sure it was all functioning normally, and I still don't learn that last effect when eating something.

I don't know where to go from there; all logic says it should have worked. This is my first time editing perks, so it's 100% possible that I missed something. Any assistance?

I think I was thorough, but if you need more info, please let me know.

Thank you in advance! ^_^
