plapete
Ok... there may be something for this already but in my playing an idea came to me. There should be a way to make different styles of armor, in different materials. For instance: I love the Nordic carved armor look. I'd love to make it out of ebony or stalrim. Or Elvish armor, made out of oriculam for a nice greenish patina or ebony for a nice thieves look. To me the Armor style and the material its made out of should not be mutually exclusive. For instance if a Nord got his hands on some dwarvish metal, he wouldnt make Dwarf armor. He'd make Nord armor (style) out of the dwarf metal ingot. Someone could make leather plate for a more covered look. Not every leather style should look like Conan (the barbarian...not Obrian) I have no programming or art ability or Id build it myself. Its probable that someone has already created this so if it already exists post the link here. Thanks!!

Deleted1308005User
Well.. I was working on a mod like this ages ago, but stopped working on it. Not sure if the thread is hidden somewhere.. All work is gone anyhow, so I'd need to redo whole thing. Really slow work and with my texturing skills difference was either too distinctive or too lame. (But I did learn my way around nifskope and how to make shines etc. similar to original)
