schijnn
If I'm fighting bandits with my companions, and I try to cast a healing spell on one of my companions, but miss and hit a bandit instead, will it heal the bandit? I'm contemplating playing a healer, but my aim with spells is terrible, and I don't want to be healing my enemies all the time. >.>Also, if there are any mods that affect this, I'd appreciate being pointed in their direction. Thanks!
Ferryt
To my knowledge Oblivion spells don't generally distinguish between enemies, friends, and neutral parties. You'll either just have to get better at aiming your targeted spells or you'll have to use touch versions. An option, if you want to dig into the CS, is to create custom healing spells (using scripts) that can distinguish between various types of targets. On the other hand, sometimes you might actually want to heal an enemy. I know ... that sounds counter-intuitive, but consider situations where several enemy factions are fighting each other. Having targeted healing spells could help you, assuming you stay under cover and out of the fight, to keep two factions evenly-matched for a mutual wipe-out, probably leaving you with just one opponent.
