Hi everyone,

I would like to seek your advice on what fixpacks am I going to download to solve those pesky bug issues and game problems as of v1.04.. Also, i would like to know what will happen if i install two bug fixes that solve the same issue.. For instance, i install a fixpack for shaperate reward problem and i install again another fixpack with new bug fixes but includes the said bugfix.. Will the game crash because of two identical fixes??

More over, I am interested on Mods that will fix problems on game utilities and improve game qualities such as bugfixes.. Could you recommend some fixpacks and good mods that are compatible to each other and will not cause any problems??

Thank you for your help.. I really appreciate it..

I use some of the fix packs myself. There are quite a few of them that conflict with other mods like the "Monster skills Blue mage..." that cause talents not to show up/work correctly, ect.. I found it to be a trial and error mixed with mod compatibility issues vs. fixes I wanted. I am betting it is going to be different from player to player depending on what other mods they are running so giving you specific advice is difficult.

Almost none of the "fixpacks", alone or in combination, can actually crash the game. But they can interfere with the correct functioning of one another. Some mods, (especially the ones that add areas) can cause a crash under unusual circumstances such as making a save in a situation that required something unique in a mod, then deleting that mod and trying to re-load from the save.

Otherwise, what usually happens is that only one of the "fixes" is used by the game itself. "Which one?" is a very interesting question. Qwinn, the author of "Qwinn's Unofficial Fixpack v2.0", has a very long article on this subject over on the BioWare Social Network. In it, he discusses how it appears to be the result of the alphabetic order of the folder/file names. The game reads the contents of the addins and override folders, and loads the elements it finds there for use at certain points. If it finds an answer to a "question", (thing it's able to load) it doesn't keep looking for a different "answer" further down in the directory structure. So you could have a dozen Morrigan facemorphs, but only one, (proabably the one in the first folder alphabetically) will show-up in your game.

He, (Qwinn) deliberately made use of the "Priority" field he found in the Toolset's list of file variables, and set his own to the lowest possible, which should allow any other mods to take priority over his. But even he isn't sure that this really works...
