chronosmagus
I enjoy both Oblivion and Fallout as much as I do, because of the ability to role play in an immersive and believable (to some extend) fashion. As soon as it's noticeable that content was added by a mod, I usually get rid of it. Out of the DLC I enjoyed Point Lookout the most, since it brought a whole new explorable area within it's own fallout-ish setting. The others were alright too, though perhaps a bit more 'linear'. But then came Mothership Zeta. I always loved the crashed spaceship in the middle of the desert, mostly because of the mystery around it and the knowledge that somewhere out there, there was life. But the details around it never mattered, after all you're just busy surviving in a broken world. After finishing mentioned DLC and arriving back at the wasteland, I just couldn't continue my current character any more. It felt pointless, after all why would anyone leave a huge operational spaceship for a barren desert. The DLC quest itself was well done, but even during play through I already felt it was a finish to 'my story'. If I'm going for another play through I'm certainly not going to enable it. I'm not saying it was badly done DLC, I just hoped they had made something that extended the experience like Point Lookout instead. Anyone else felt like this after playing it? JCHR
Yes, I remeber I quit the game for like 1 year when I was on my way to finish Mothership Zeta, I haven't even completed it when I quitted fallout 3 just because I felt like "everything was over" Now in this new playthrough, I saved most of the good things for the end (namely broken steel and most fo the quests) and finished mothership zeta earlier, I must say, tough, I didn't enjoy MZ as much as I did enjoy O:A even tough both setups are similar... must be because O:A offered a more FPS experience... In order to keep the game going on, I find myself most of the time just exploring and clearing up random places on the world map, I discovered with the current playthrough a lot more than the 3 earlier playthroughs that I quitted half-done (I have around 50 hours of gameplay on this one, and I never got more than 20 before)
