ragnorokh
How come every time I try to install an addon, I get an error? I've tried installing devout armor, orator vestments, shadow warden armor, and a bunch of others, but I just get an error when it's almost completed. Anyway to fix this? Thandal
Not enough information. What do you mean by "installing an addon"? How are you attempting to install the ".dazip"? (With DAUpdater, or with another mod manager?) And what process did you start that gives the error? What was the error message? Any or all of that info would help us help you. ragnorokh
i used the DAUpdater. i added the file to the list, clicked install, and it was almost done but it stopped and said error. checked the log and it said it couldn't update the xml file. says that for all addons, except for the ones made by bioware. RustyBlade
If you have added the "Official" dazips, addins.xml should have been created. It should be located in your My Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\Settings folder. If something strange has happened, create a text file in that folder and add the following lines to it:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?> <AddInsList> </AddInsList>Save the file, exit the file and then rename it addins.xml Windows will then give you a warning about changing the file extension, change it and you should be good to go. If you delete it, the next time you start the game and sign-in, the BioWare servers will start re-downloading everything you're authorized. The path is: "\[user's document folder]\BioWare\Dragon Age\Settings"
