Main Menu Doesn't Appear

Not sure if this is the right place for this, but I have a question.

 

I've recently reinstalled FO3 and want to play a modded game for the first time. I tried to install the combination of mods used in the FOIP examples (FWE, EVE, WMK, Project Beauty, and DarnUI) following the instructions as best I could. I'm pretty sure I've set up everything (patch, FOSE, FO3Edit...) followed the instructions properly, used the correct load-order etc. but I can't get the game to work.

 

Since the game works as normal otherwise I'm assuming I've gone wrong with the installation process somewhere. My main question is whether the specific problem I'm having is familiar to anyone and points to any particular mod/stage as the culprit. Basically the game seems to launch fine from FOMM, there are no error messages, freezes or crashes, but the main menu doesn't appear. The music plays, the introductory "slide show" plays and ends with the Power Armour helmet image which should be the background of the main menu, but there is no cursor, the keys don't respond, and no actual menu options appear. Is this particular problem familiar to anyone?

Usually it's a FOIP mismatch with these mods. Don't use the new .97 EVE with the current FOIP. You need to install the .96 EVE, then the .96 EVE important update to use with the current FWE-EVE FOIP. Then re-create your merged patch.
