An error occurred while trying to read the source file

I tried different ways to install this game and nothing has changed. It says: An error occurred while trying to read the source file: the source file ''c:\Games\Steam\SteamApps\commun\XCom-Enemy-Unknown\XEW\XEW\Bianries\Win32\XComEW.exe''. but i looked directly in this file and I can see this source file XCom.EW.exe. I tried to repair it, redownload it and it won't let it install properly. What should I do ? Over 4 hours of research online and 2 coffee shots, I've found no information about: how to fix that error.

Assuming this isn't a typo: the path "..\XEW\XEW\" is wrong. There should only be one "\XEW", and that is as far down as you should be pointing to install anything related to the EW version of the game. Anything else the installers can find once they know the path to EU or EW portions of the Steam path, and pointing deeper confuses them.

 

Otherwise it would help if you were more specific about WHAT you are trying to install: EW or a mod (and for which game EU or EW).

Okay, nevermind guys... I saw my XCOM EW wasn't installed on the good driver that i'm playing on everytime. Sorry for the wasted time you spend dubiousintent on this case. Thank you !
