Crouch = Crash

My game crashes to desktop nearly every time I crouch. All I can find online is that the wearable lanterns mod causes/used to cause this, but I've never used that mod.

I recently figured this out by having a quick look at the papyrus log. The log writes that the last script that ran before the crash occurred belongs to the "Tania the Hermit" mod. Therefore, the reason behind this CTD points directly at the mentioned mod.

 

I sometimes got crash while crouching when I recruited the follower "Tania" into my party. But ever since I removed her from my party, I can freely spam that Lctrl without being punished by a CTD.

 

So, in your case, I would suggest you to part ways with Tania for the time being (if you have her in your party), wait one in-game hour, then just play the game normally. See if the crash occurs to you whenever you crouch again.

 

(This is just my personal experience so it might not be 100% correct.)

Your experience seems to be consistent with mine. I didn't make the connection, but I haven't had the bug happen in a long time, and I also uninstalled Tania quite some time ago, so now that you mention it, it makes sense. Thanks.

Deleting the Tania Mod has solved this issue for me too. Thanks a lot
