AmazadhKristeopolous
Hi - I did have a quick look through the posts, but couldn't spot anything relating to what I just encountered. I did the Return to Ostagar DLC side quest quite early on, and the armour I got for Cailin wasn't that hot; basically Red Iron with some extra attributes. Nice but after several more scenarios, easily bettered. So I flogged it to the dwarf merchant in the camp. SO....I am about to enter the Final Battle, and decide to go through all the gear I had put in the Camp chest (mod), and convert anything not worth equipping into cash, and go through the dwarf's inventory and see if there was anything worth buying in return. Imagine my surprise when I spot Cailin's armour set in there, but now it is Dragonbone!!! I understand that certain armour is levelled to be of meaningful value to you when you 'find' it, but had never encountered it changing whilst at the merchants! Is this normal? Thandal
IIRC, there is a "reset" point for the merchants' inventories after the Landsmeet. Much of their "Special Stock" gets upgraded at that point. Didn't know that the DLC equipment was effected, but guess so...
AmazadhKristeopolous
Ahh right! Excellent - I hadn't noticed that happening previously, interesting that it affects DLC stuff as well - I should have flogged the swords as well, and seen what happened to them!! Many thanks for the reply
DarkeWolf
Not all of it will. It basically depends on if the author's of the DLC added material progression to the properties of the item in question. On most of the vanilla game items its easy enough to check to see if an item has it, by looking the item up in the toolset. And if it doesnt have it, you can add it to it, easy peasy. Unfortunately, some of the DLC's are locked, and you cant open their files to find out, or to edit them. Ostagar is locked. :(
