MrRotch
I don't like how these kinds of guns have been handled in Fallout 3 + NV (basically, low rate of fire and when you press the mouse to fire sometimes, it doesn't fire because you're still waiting for the time between shots to be reset). Would it be possible to make a mod that makes all single shot weapons (such as pistols, Service rifle, laser/plasma weapons etc) to be fired pretty much with every click of the mouse? It would also have to have an increased recoil spread the more you shoot the gun quickly (but for more accurate shots you can just wait 1 second for the reticle to shrink back down to normal size). sullyvanj93
that would be very simple. Going into GECK, you can edit the Fire Rate all you want. One of the easiest things you can do in GECK is to modify certain weapon traits actually. Simply find the gun you want to edit, double click, and change what you're wanting to. you can do it for all the guns that you want in your own gaming experience, or possibly make a list of guns you'd like someone here to alter for you, and they can make an esp

Well we have an entry point for reloading, it's used by the rapid reload perk, so you can take advantage of that to reduce reloading time if you don't mind some of the animations being a bit mucked up. It's a good way to go about it if yuo want your character to be able to fire off a barage of shots at super human speed, but not have everyone else (like the stoned fiend) pulling off the same god like agility. Edit: Alright, I looked up a tutorial on youtube, and I found and edited the Service Rifle. But even when I set the Semi-Automatic Fire Delay Min and Max to 0.0000, I didn't notice a difference at all. Gribbleshnibit8
Those values do not do what you think they do. You really want to modify the animation rate on the Art tab. I forget the value but there's a set of several Anim rates that you can modify. As devin said, changing those will really make the animations look bad fast. The perk is the best option, but will again make animations look kinda of gross pretty quickly.
MrRotch
Yep, editing the Multiplier in the Art and Sound tab made it work. I didn't really notice any weird animations. But I did notice that when I click the mouse slower, it doesn't fire the guns on every mouse click like I want (It fires at it's normal rate/speed). I have to click the mouse pretty fast in order for it to work.

Try the faster reload perk, if it helps to alleviate the problem somewhat ("it doesn't fire the guns on every mouse click like I want"), then you can tweak the perk to a much higher percentage, like 100% or 200%. Plus as I mentioned it has the advantage of only affecting the player. Don't worry if you don't know how to tweak it, I can do that part for you, just see if it helps. Gribbleshnibit8
And it could just be that a shot every mouse click isn't possible. Crank the anim mult up to 50 or so, so that it's done in a millisecond and then you might, but you can click a mouse pretty fast, and the game aims to look good too, so animations need time to finish. Remember, this is not a super modern game engine, it does have limitations.
Deleted7103646User
actually if you set the Semi-Automatic Fire Delay Min and Max to 0.0000, you should notice a difference, cause that is exactly why you sometimes click and it doesn't fire if you click too fast.If you set them both to 0, you should never have the gun waiting for a reset, it works perfectly fine with me. Other thing is, you can't set the firerate simply higher on the weap form, the gun's firing speed is dictated by the animation, so even if it will fire with every click, it's just as slow as it was before, but you should never have a miss-click. so, indeed speed up the animation and set those values and you should be good to go.if you would half the distance the camera kicks back at every shot, it should look pretty decent. devinpatterson
actually if You probably don't want to resurrect a nearly 3 year old post. I don't have anything against it if it's pertinent info, but necro'ing is considered bad form on nexus (from what I'v been told and seen others write).
