When i try to patch oblivion with 1.2.0.416 it just stops working it says in Task Manager *Not Responding* and i need to exit the programm...(I have the oldest version of the game) so i wanted to ask you if you could help me with it ...And yea there is one more thing i cant get my mods running i made them by myself its because of the patch? lobo1010 Posted October 15, 2010 Share Posted October 15, 2010 download the patch againremember that they are localized versions so download the correct one for your oblivion lenguage in other hand if thats not your problem then try to reinstall the game in any other place that is not the default path like in c:/gamesor something, then try to install the patch again Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
bben46 Posted October 15, 2010 Share Posted October 15, 2010 The patches have been known to choke on pirated versions and also on NO CD games. If you are using a no cd program to play the game, put the original dvd in and try. If you have a pirate version, better luck next time. Be sure to get the patch from the official site (free) and not a torrent. If all else fails, try reinstalling and then patching with NO mods or DLCs - a completely empty data folder, and no Oblivion.ini file Here's how: Here is a link to my complete uninstall/reinstall procedure located in the articles section of the Nexushttp://www.tesnexus.com/articles/article.php?id=240 It allows you to preserve any saves and mods, or remove them completely - your choice.
