cyden Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 So I made the mistake of letting my girlfriend on to Nexus and <site not allowed> unsupervised and install stuff on her own. Well now her game stability is very poor. I done what I can to try to sort the order and find conflicts but I could use some help. So if anyone can see a glaring issue any help would be appreciated.. I am attaching her plugins.txt, It is quite long (Her game folder itself is now over 65Gb)
DoctorSamanth Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 So I made the mistake of letting my girlfriend on to Nexus and LL unsupervised and install stuff on her own. Well now her game stability is very poor. <site not allowed> is a banned site on the Nexus dont bring it up again. also make sure she reads through these troubleshooting things so'mistakes' dont happen again. anyways have her run LOOT and get back to me: https://loot.github.io/

Also I am not trying to press the issue but, Is there a post that details why it is a banned site? I'm just trying to understand the logic of why is all. A search of the forum didn't help
Thandal Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 That site is banned here for a number of reasons, but the primary one is the refusal to recognize authors' rights over their own works. Requests by authors to remove mods uploaded to the site against their explicit desires are ignored, and mods containing ripped (pirated) materials are routinely made available. (Plus, Dark0ne said so.)

cyden Posted January 14, 2015 Author Posted January 14, 2015 I ran LOOT and there was some improvement but not much. The only real warnings came from one mod that was stable (player home made before the CK was released) and another that we haven't had active in along time just never deleted form the folder. However going by posts from there I did deactivate two mods from ****** that where know to cause issues which might still be hurting the save file with missing scripts and hidden quests. I told her to start a new game and let me know if it helps... @ThandalAh.. understood. Thank you
Leubast Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Man, she must really like Khajiit and children. You should continue looking at the mod pages for them and see if they have a "Compatibility" section to look at. Like I said, I'm seeing many mods that modify the Khajiit and Child races so I'm sure there's some conflict there (LOOT is not perfect)Finally, teach her about compatibility and load order, that not every mod downloaded will work with every other mod, lol. xD That site is banned here for a number of reasons, but the primary one is the refusal to recognize authors' rights over their own works. (Plus, Dark0ne said so.)Glad to hear that it's not because of it's 'questionable' mods. That's all fine and understandable reasons.
cyden Posted January 17, 2015 Author Posted January 17, 2015 Well she started a new game and so far removing one mod from there and running LOOT has seemed to helped a lot, Though I am still resorting some of the mods that LOOT moved out of a working order.. Like some of jinjishu's Weightless mods don't work if they are too high in the order..
DoctorSamanth Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 yeah LOOT isnt a catch all you still have to do some work on your own, but god does it help.
