LilSargeJR
Hello i have been a member for about 6 months and i have not been on this fourm pages much.. This is the one main problem i have ever had that i cannot fix by myself or taking mods off or putting them in a different order..Ever sense i got my new computer and moved all my save game files over to this newly bought version of Oblivion with shivering isles..My game gives me less than half of Voices of people i talk to.. All non issential characters in the game have no voices and only dukes/duchess's have voices or main characters in the main plot line. I cannot even follow the text because it is scrolling so fast i cannot read it. If anyone knows how i can fix this problem i would really appreciate it because i have to go under the quests menu to find out everything i am supposed to do.. Thanks, Sarge. More often than not, mods do not have voice acting at all so you will not hear any voices for dialog that those mods add. Many mods do add silent mp3s for their dialog timed to last for several seconds so that you can get a chance to read the subtitles - but not all of them do. I would recommend that you get Elys Universal Silent Voice plugin for OBSE (and OBSE if you don't already have it). This plugin will automatically provide 8 seconds of delay (silent) so that you can read the subtitles for any mod that does not provide voice files at all. But is this a problem caused by mods or the game just not getting insalled correctly? Because, i installed the game off of a disk and played thu the first part of the game.. when the King came in the cell with me i didnt understand.. the guards around the king where not talking at all and i switched it over to subtitles so i could at least play thru the game and know somewhat what i am supposed to do..( at that point in time i had only OBMM installed on my game and no mods what so ever on OBMM) so should i un-install my Oblivion game and move all my saves into a different folder? or is that just gonna be a waste of my time? T If you got that without any mods installed - just Oblivion - I would recommend that you find the oblivion.ini file in your My Documents (in the directory just above where the saved game files are) and remove it. The next time that you run Oblivion, it will create a new one. The old one was created on your old computer and seems to not be quite compatible with your new one. I tried deleting oblivion.ini and it seems i am able to hear main characters in the game but not random NPC's i can hear the Duke of Maina but not Wide Eyes but thanks for the help i DL the first progams you told me too but ill find out if it works..
