Lawlder
When things really get bigger than life. The final quest is probably the best example of this, especially if you're romancing Alistair and brought him to Fort Drakon.
isleofwrath
During my first playthrough, I played a human noble sword-and-board warrior. Played the game (Ultimate Edition) with the intention of closing it off with Witch Hunt, which, I think, chronologically fits as it is the last DLC for Dragon age Origins. It felt completely appropriate. From the loss of family and finding a new one with your party, to romancing Morrigan, and going through the whole "i-love-you-but-i-don't-want-to-admit-it" routine with her. Had the child. chose to track her down post coronation and played through awakening keeping her ring -- at the expense of better gear. Closed out Awakening into Witch Hunt and when Morrigan tells me of the change thats coming, it all fell into place like a nice, neat, banquet. I helped "liberate" the Darkspawn, and walked through the portal with my "beloved". From and end, the story tied itself. So to answer the question? The ending in Witch Hunt was very emotional. But only because of the earlier choices i had made during the game. Going through playthorugh number two with romancing Leliana. :-) in terms of feeling "connected" to the story, the only other modern-day RPG i would rate higher, is Planescape Torment. :-) and DA is probably more replayable. Cheers.
