SpellAndShield
I used to have some problems handling Fallout 3. I assume this game will be even more demanding, right? What are the requirements anyway?

Gishank
The minimum requirements for New Vegas are the same as Fallout 3's I believe, the only difference graphically is higher-res textures and models for people playing on higher settings. CPU: Dual Core, 2.0GHzRAM: 2GBHDD: 10GBGPU: Nvidia GeForce 6000 series or ATI XT1300 series... But to be honest I wouldn't recommend trying to play modern games on a laptop, additionally System Requirements Lab is a load of rubbish and actually installs spyware in addition to its 'tool'. Gishank
It installs several random third-party programs which I haven't a clue what are for, as you as the user have specifically given SRL permission to do as it pleases most programs don't pick it up. However fortuently ESET's Smart Security suite does.

buddah
The easiest way is to just go here: http://www.systemreq...tslab.com/cyri/ Select the game and new vegas is there and let it run. You may be asked for permission, grant it and it will check your system and tell you the results. ZombieUK
Im curious do you need steam to Play the game? I still have no idea what the hell Steam is nor do I wish to as My Games are hard bought copies from the store. OBliv and fo3 plus many others are bought from verious stores I live near by and I sometimes order games online whist they sent to me but One question. "Do you need to use Steam to either play or Activate the game?" I just want to play the game as you do Fallout 3 and not require some thing I have no intention of using really. Gishank
There is a search function on the forums... Yes, Fallout: New Vegas will require Steam as it uses Steamworks to activate (after which you can choose to go in to offline mode if you so wished) and play the game. Steam is a digital distribution platform created by Valve whom are otherwise known for their famous games such as Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2, Half Life, Half Life 2, Portal, Teamfortress 2, etc... It's a good system.
