achaley
hello im achaley i was trying to get wyre bash running and i keep getting this error message can anyone help me
mooncarver
I suggest reinstalling oblivion into a different folder, since the program folder may cause conflicts along the way (crashing, problems running mods etc). other than that, have you downloaded the whole python package before installing wrye bash? it's a mandatory compilation of files required to run this program,. also, there is already a new wrye version available (v290), so if you're using an older version, try the update. Smooth613
The last line, the Error message clearly states the problem, "Permission denied". As mentioned by Mooncraver reinstall Oblivion to a different directory outside of Program Files will likely remedy the issue.

Smooth613
Nope. Bash.log is simply a file created by a Bugdump. A Bugdump is what you posted already, the screenshot. The Readme would explain this to you. Doing a simple Ctrl + F search on the readme for bash.log would show you this. You can find the readme online here Wrye Bash.net. Or there is an HTML version in your docs folder with the same info. Readme's are excellent sources of information folks. And by reading the readme in the Help - If Bash won't start section this is listed, right after it talks about that log file. Here is a quote..• Dealing with Bugdump • First, look at it! – especially the last several lines – this will often give you a good clue as to what the problem is, and you may be able to resolve it on your own. • Second, see following section for common problems and their solution. Notice the section I highlighted in bold. It sounds familiar. The last several lines will often clue you in to the problem. So as I stated before the error message Permission Denied is likely your problem. Move your Oblivion install outside of Program Files. This is common with Win 7 UAC. UAC does not like software, or even users to alter data in the Program files directory. It is perceived as a security threat and the action is blocked.
