In blender - there are 10-20 boxes in the middle, that is the layers. You can open your body in one layer, open the armor/clothing in another layer, an then combine them. It all depends on what is selected. So learn how to work with the layers. In this case it would be loading the body in one layer, then load the head into another layer. With both selected it would show both an you could adjust the neck to fit. However don't forget your layers before export, because you wouldn't want to export the head. Just meshes you put in for a reference. You can also build reference bodies for this which is what you see in the .BSA It's difficult to set up an build, but if you were building a bunch it would kind of streamline the workflow
