When i try to go there the game just crashes. Im just going to re install the game and just add afew mods i like, but i just want to know how to keep my Character data/save and the looks or how ever you would describe it. Any ideas?? Deleted1848331User
When you reinstall Oblivion, it doesn't erase your save. It keeps it in your Documents\My Games\Oblivion folder. IF your using third party mod races, make sure you redownload all of the race materials. I should know, I constantly reinstall Oblivion after bloating/killing my save with mods I make or mods I download :P edit 2 If you're really worried about losing your save though, make a back up on say, your desktop. Eiries
Most of the time when I hear "Bruma crashes my game," it's because of that stupid statue. Chances are you've gotten past the Allies for Bruma quest, yes? Try out this mod. It completely disables that hideous thing. No need to reinstall. :)

Deleted1848331User
Well, if you delete all your mods, then go redownload your favorites (including race mods if any), then it should work. You'll just be without some things that you had unless you kept em all. Either that or make a new save lol.
bben46
Using the standard reinstall doesn't remove your mods or save games so if your problem stems from either a recalcitrant mod or a save game using that mod the problem will still be there. Try this first: Bben's Oblivion Revert to Vanilla game - completely reversible. If you want to, you can return all mods and saves to their original state.http://www.tesnexus.com/articles/article.php?id=340 If you decide you really must reinstall, Here is a link to my complete uninstall/reinstall procedure located in the articles section of the Nexushttp://www.tesnexus.com/articles/article.php?id=240 It allows you to preserve any saves and mods, or remove them completely - your choice.
