Resurrect NPC's, please help

Hey there,

I have a question, and I hope one of you modders can help me :) I started a new game, but due to an accident (nope, it wasn't me :) ) Walter from Megaton died (the guy from the water processing plant). But I want him back, since he is the guy I sell my scrap metal to. I now know that there is the "resurrect" console order, but before I knew that, I looted his body , and now his empty body has disappeared.

Is there another console order that let NPC's respawn ?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Best regards

Starman

I know, but he pays much less afaik, and i'm also not sure if I can boost my karma when giving it for free to him

I don't think anyone in the history of F3 have ever given him anything more than the first one to see what you get. Its ridiculously little he gives you for 'em and you don't even get xp for doing it.

Now, to get Walter back, open console and type this in:

moveto player 00000A64

click his body while in the Console menu if he's dead and type in Resurrect 1

That should make him resurrect as if he was unconcious.

Theres a chance the whole scrap metal quest thing will get a little wierd though.

EDIT; Alternatively, if he doesn't show up at all you can try typing in

player.placeleveledactoratme 00000A64

If you're OCD about not placing new actors when I don't have to:

prid 3b59

resurrect

moveto player

This method is much better and much more likely to prevent errors, as it should remove the chance of the quest being bugged, as we're using the game's expected reference of Walter, instead of trying to create a new instance of the base object, which may or may not work with quest scripts. Honestly I don't know which ones are and are not reference-specific, or if any are, but this would co-opt needing to find that out.
