So I flubbed this mod install...

I installed a GNR fix mod manually which was a mistake since I have FOMM. I didn't like it so I uninstalled it and in my half awake state whacked the entire contents of the GNR folder. I installed another one hoping it'd have the original songs in it but it just has additional ones. GNR still works, still get 3Dog chatting, get the new songs just fine but I'd like the original ones back too. Is there a way to get them back? It's a minor annoyance but it's just chipping away at me and I gotta try and fix it.

Appreciate any assistance.

Well GNR more where that came from was a popular fix for GNR. Later on someone found 100 free 1950's era songs an created a GNR song extender mod. Around the same time the two project ideas merged into one mod still keeping the GNR more where that came from name. This one The original songs still play along with quest tracking, however 4 broken steel quests are not included in the script but there's a hotfix for it hotfix

It should be noted that there are some issues with the music stopping, which requires you to reboot (however you should probaby reboot anyway) This being more of an issue on messy load orders, and less of an issue on the load orders which were hand built to work together with FO3 edit. Then on some systems fallout won't play Mp3 very well an also run the game so the music stutters when in Mp3. The fix for this is to convert the Mp3 stereo files to .Wav which would also resolve echo issues between the pipboy an 3D radios in the worldspace. However it's much more easy just to update your WMP (windows media player) thus updating your audio codecs without the need for messy 3rd party audio software.

Hey, thanks for the detailed reply. That's actually the mod I used and went the 40 song route in my attempt to fix my flub. It's totally perfect with the game, no complaints at all. I was just hoping to get my original game tracks back too.

Short of reinstalling the game, which wouldn't be a big issue since I'm only running about ten mods, is there any way to get my original tracks back that you can think of?

Again, thanks for taking the time to reply, appreciate it.

I just always used GNR100 the originals still play in that one. They should still be in the version you have too I just never tested it.

When you download stuff put it in a downloads folder, in that folder put sub-folders I.E. Radio, Buildings, Armor, Weapons, Game Settings, Then in those sub-folders put even more subfolders which are the names of the mods, inside those break the download down into it's parts with more sub-folders 1 2 3 4 5 6 or name the folder "update" or name it "IDK" (i don't know) so later you have a file structure you can navigate. Which will allow you to find the read me or install the mod again, reverce engineer, an also avoid having to download it again.
