RustyBlade
A while back, the music in the main game stopped playing; worked in Awakenings and the post 1.03 DLC's just fine just nothing but silence in Origins. I've searched forum threads with no joy, tried copying the files off the disc to the install directory with no result and had pretty much resigned myself to never hearing the soundtrack again. Until today when I was checking a mod that was having Awakenings trouble and tried dumping the dazip into my override. Unfortunately for the mod's creator I was only able to duplicate the problem but it got me thinking about my sound. So to make a long story short... well a little shorter anyway, I copied the sound folder from the install directory into my override and I now have my music back. I thought I would pass this along in case anyone else may be suffering from the same problem. Go to [install Drive]:\Program Files\Dragon Age\packages\core\audio and right click on the sound folder, select Copy, go to your My Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override folder, right click on a blank spot and select Paste and the music will once again play. The downside is you waste 514 MB of space with the duplicate but you will have the music back.
Thandal
... Must be something in all your mods that sets a flag bit in an unexpcted manner. But as far as wasting half-a-gig of space... Errr, can't you delete the copy in the "[programs]" folder? As far as mods go, where would one even begin to look? I have no mods that affect music. Some affect cutscenes and dialogue but most of those are used in combination by many hundreds of people with no ill effect. Deleting the original in program files is an experiment for another day.
