Console command not working

The console command doesn't show up whenever I press "~". Also checked the .ini file to make sure the console command is allowed and it's checked as "1" so it's supposed to work. Using Windows 7 btw, any ideas on how I can fix this problem?

strange. It works here I was using that earlier to set health on a passing salvage man.

No idea what the issue could be on your end.

I use Windows 7 64 bit, a logitech g15 keyboard... tilde works here. By the way it is actually the ` key not tilde. ~tilde is the shifted ` reverse

apostrophe. Just in case you might be pressing shift ` ..

in windows 7 you had to turn something off (can't remember what it was ) to get the ~ to work .

You had to do it everytime you re-started your computer..

I was using the mod "console key binder" which would map it to F4 in fallout3.

BUT it needs fose to run, which isnt available yet for NV.

here's info on how to fix it - if it is casued by "Infrared Device" drivers.

The fix suggested by Jonnystar on August 16 fixed this problem for me immediately. This is meant for Windows 7. I don't know if it works in Vista.

Here is what I did (following his instructions)

FROM START MENU

CLICK DEVICES AND PRINTERS

RIGHT CLICK ON YOUR COMPUTER and select "KEYBOARD SETTINGS"

CLICK HARDWARE TAB

SELECT Microsoft eHome MCIR 109 Keyboard or similar and hit "properties"

HIT "CHANGE SETTINGS"

SELECT DRIVER TAB

HIT "update driver"

3. Choose "Browse my computer for software"

, then when it asks you where you would like it to search for drivers choose the option to choose from a list) then "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer".

4. Make sure "show compatible hardware" is checked, then select "HID-compliant device" and click next. Click any remaining "OK" or "Finish" buttons after Windows has installed the driver.
