BigRedNole
I have the same issue. For me it is caused by the in game settings (not the ones when you start it from Steam). When you go into the Display settings, there is a Texture Size option. For me, if it is anything but Large, I get the same dysfunctional graphics. NM Someone from Steam helped fixed the problem, it was something to do with the antialiasing
BigRedNole
So basically set to med will fix the problem? I had to keep it set to Large only. Med or Small makes it look like crap.
notslow
I have this same problem. I tried changing the texture size option from large to small and back with no change. I also tried changing the launcher setting from low to ultra with no change. Just about everything else looks awesome on ultra settings and seems to works fine with the exception of the Pipboy and doing a camera pan around my character which is slow and stuttery on every quality setting I've tried. A little info:I just installed FONV recently. I'm a PC gamer super newb, but I've logged a few hundred hours on FONV for Xbox (wow, is it better on a PC)I have a 2.8 Phenom Quad Core , 4gb ram, Sapphire vapor-X 6870 I've been reading on here bit for the last few days and I'm really excited about trying a few mods. Just want to make sure everything is working right before I start fiddling with stuff.
Shadow771
One problem I had recently is when overclocking my Sapphire HD Radeon 5870, my mip-mapping detail somehow got set to high performance. Setting this setting to high quality fixed problems with low texture quality. Perhaps this is your problem? notslow
Eureka! The 3D settings were set to custom. I unchecked custom and checked "controlled by application" now the pip boy is good even with small texture. Just have to figure out the other issue now. Thanks
